The story is focusing on a private investigator and war veteran call Charles W. Reed while he is trying to find the cause of Oakmont’s aggressive flooding and making the people leave that place.

The Sinking City features an open investigation system you will like it a lot. In it, the outcome of your quests is usually defined by your attention to details when you investigate several clues. We have to say the town of Oakont is made of 7 districts called Advent, Coverside, Darkwater Bay, Oldgrove, Reed Heights, Salvation Harbour and The Shells. All of them are affected by flooding and your task is to use a boat in order to traverse safely and reach drier areas. You are able to swim too if necessary but keep in mind the water is infested. This can lead to fatally damage of your health and sanity, too.

Your character can assemble different tools and weapons. Then he can use them to kill dangerous creatures and dispel hallucinations, too. Another important resource in the game is sanity and you it it spent on investigative powers, to reconstruct different crime scenes and identify clues as well.
